Cinematic Percussion available as Early Access Now
Hey dear music people, I am currently in the process of recording the videos for my new course Cinematic Percussion and the course is now available in early access. So, first off: ⚠️⚠️⚠️ If you are an Audio Artist Rise Premium Member or got the Audio Artist Academy Gold Membership, you are all set! You will get access in the next hours. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ The first video(s) will also drop within the next hours. If you're only interested in the course itself, here is my offer: Right now you can get in for the ridiculously low price of 49 EUR only. As soon as more videos are uploaded the price will increase. If you are interested, you can check out additional information here: Cinematic Percussion (Early Access) In this course I will show you everything you need to know to write convincing cinematic percussion arrangements. Struggling with Cinematic Percussion? - Your arrangement and grooves don't sound cinematic? - Your percussions are basically loops of four bars that you copy throughout the entire track and they sound boring and lifeless? - You have problems coming up with new ideas and inspiration? - The more you add, the more messy your arrangement and sound becomes? Here's what you'll learn: - How to create dense and juicy sounding cinematic percussion arrangements that don't clutter your mix. - How to sculpt the sound needed for your current project. No matter if it's soft supporting percussion layers or intense and dramatic "walls of sound." - Everything you need to know about rhythm. From basics, to complex rhythms. - How to accelerate or decelerate a groove, how to write driving patterns. - Everything you need to know about standard 3/4 or 4/4 grooves up to odd meter and metric modulation. - How to turn every existing sample library that you own into your own custom material. Sounds great, then feel free to enroll → RIGHT HERE In case you are interested in the Premium Program or the Gold Membership, send me a private message.

Recommended DAW
I know each DAW have their pros and cons but what's the recommended or ideal DAW for composition? Which would would be ideal for the mixing/mastering as well? I ask because my goal is to have the tools that would produce the best quality. I bounce in between FL Studio and Studio One at the moment. All suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

Looking For A Trailer Music Template For Any DAW?
**** UPDATE I found a video on YT that goes over a trailer music template. It’s not building one step by step, but it’s an overview and very helpful IMO. I included the link below if anyone wanted to watch it. Thank you to everyone who commented below and for your feedback/advice. It was very much appreciated! https://youtu.be/xFuuw2lc71k?si=Ee5x6LICKysLWGr9 I’m looking to see if anyone knows where to find a template for any DAW although I prefer Cubase / Logic Pro that’s specifically set up for making / mixing trailer music. If Alex has one for purchase then I might have missed it, but if there is one out there that someone could direct me towards please let me know. Thanks!

Set like 1-3 hours depending on time to create your own template. I followed this videos layout https://youtu.be/JQdVr-DX7IQ?si=p0OR_pVIRy59i9As
Naming Your Tracks
C'mon - there's got to be a better way for me to name my tracks. 20240708a tells me nothing, Choir_n_Synths_001 tells me what's the main instruments, "Daft Punk Punching Angels" seems a bit cringe (not to mention overselling). I know it's not the fanciest of questions, but as I grow my craft and start to produce more and more I'm happy with, I worry about getting my naming conventions down now before it becomes a problem. I've got a version of Alex's Notion "Track Checker" that I'm starting to try and organise my tracks with - but naming is tricky. How do ya'll manage your naming conventions? Edit - just to clarify, I'm not talking about released tracks but your own internal naming.

Sounds like you use studio 1😅 I have the same distaste for their naming. I would create key phrases for the projects tbh. Like, orchestral epic scene 001...
What are you working on?
Good day all! Just curious what everbody is working on at the moment? Whether it's learning, writing, promoting. I'm busy writing a Christmas track for a publisher at the moment. #keepupthemomentum.

I'm doing a 25 day self challenge I call in the meadows. My focus is making calm relaxing loops for fantasy survival games like valheim and enshrouded.

@Gavin Potter no I haven't even thought of that. I'm just mainly trying to get good first haha
