Looking For A Trailer Music Template For Any DAW?
**** UPDATE I found a video on YT that goes over a trailer music template. It’s not building one step by step, but it’s an overview and very helpful IMO. I included the link below if anyone wanted to watch it. Thank you to everyone who commented below and for your feedback/advice. It was very much appreciated! https://youtu.be/xFuuw2lc71k?si=Ee5x6LICKysLWGr9 I’m looking to see if anyone knows where to find a template for any DAW although I prefer Cubase / Logic Pro that’s specifically set up for making / mixing trailer music. If Alex has one for purchase then I might have missed it, but if there is one out there that someone could direct me towards please let me know. Thanks!

@Dave Graham Hi, first off let me say thank you for taking the time to write out your opinion. I appreciate all advice and please don’t take this the wrong way, but I completely disagree with your statement. For someone who works in film as an Editor, Colorist, VFX artist, and Sound Mixer I find inspiration in a lot of things. And I have found lots of useful information in the past from Orchestral Templates. That said, I do have my own templates for Cubase and Logic Pro that I use and I have written quite a few songs. I also have a mix template for Pro Tools that I created and use all the time, but that’s just for trailers and films. Music is a hobby for me. I’m not looking to go pro as a trailer music composer or a musician in general. Someday I may release my tracks on SoundCloud or something, but until then, I really just enjoy doing it for fun and learning from others. My formal education is in Film so music or music theory is always something I’m learning about in my free time which there’s not much of since my job as the Head of Tech Operations for two indie film companies tends to get in the way of most things. But as an experienced sound mixer there’s quite a bit of information that I take from templates especially when they come from professionals in the field. Even if you make your own templates it never hurts to peek behind the curtain (so to speak) from a(nother) professionals workflow. If you’re content with how your career is going then I’d say keep doing what you’re doing, but I’m like a sponge and I enjoy soaking up as much information as I can. I’m constantly learning even as an editor, colorist, and sound mixer every day. So again, let me just say I appreciate the time you took to write your response and please don’t take offense to what I’m saying, but deep down I think we just have two completely different approaches and perspectives.

I have a Mac Pro 2019. When it comes to music / sound mixing / editing I prefer Apple, but for 3D animation and VFX I prefer a PC. So I guess it depends on what I’m doing. Personally I think there’s pros and cons to both, so I’m not really against one or the other.
