My Most Engaged Post
... is an engagement post 😂 💍 This surprised me. Lesson: Community is about connection, not just value. Show yourself!

@Andrew Kirby And congrats by the way - huge news! 👏
Skool Inception 🕳️
There are A LOT of Skool communities serving other Skool community owners. Most of my members are new to Skool. Pros and cons of serving members who are new to Skool: + People tend to give my community more attention since I'm the reason they joined Skool. - It's harder to onboard them. Pros and cons of serving Skool community owners: + They already understand how Skool works. - Their attention is split between many other communities, and they tend to be focused on either direct or indirect self-promotion. Would love to hear more on this topic as I start to explore possible products for Skool owners. What is good (and bad) about serving people who are new to Skool? What is good (and bad) about serving other Skool community owners?

@Thomas Jordan Has that been enough for you to have good engagement from your new members?

@Suzanne Buckley Yes, exactly! And I think most community owners are still learning what that looks like for them. Is there anything that has worked well for you in terms of onboarding members from FB to Skool?
New Discovery algorithm update
Now we show the top 5 groups from every category on the homepage in random order. This gives groups from all categories a better chance of being discovered. Plus it's more fun. We used to rank all groups globally, now we rank them per category. We tried a new algorithm, but as many of you pointed out, it wasn't very good. We reverted to the original algorithm. Thank you for your feedback. Our intention is to make things better, and we did, but we had to make things worse for 24h to get there. Sorry about that. More detail in the video. Enjoy!

We went from top #10 in our category, to rank #11000, back to #8 in the category! It's been an emotional ride 🥲 (hahaha just kidding). Thank you for the work you guys are doing to optimize the platform and make it better for smaller communities. I appreciate it!
Favourite little-known Skool feature?
I use Skool a lot but wonder if there's any features I don't know about. What's your favourite little-known Skool feature?

14-Minute Skool Masterclass — Doug Boughton
@Doug Boughton is one of the most knowledgeable community-builders I've ever met. During our podcast in Vegas yesterday, he dropped 13-minutes of pure gold that I had to rip from the full episode to share with you RIGHT NOW. If you're taking building a business on this platform seriously and love to nerd out over in-depth Skool strategies — this one is for you ✊

This was so incredibly helpful! Loved the actionable advice about how to increase engagement in a free community, and the impact that has on qualifying people for a high ticket program. Exactly what I needed to hear at the moment - thanks for this @Matthew Thompson @Doug Boughton !
