Releases & In-Depth Tutorials?!
Hello friends, high energy times at the moment, as I have four new tracks coming out - my Flashback EP was released 2 days ago on Respekt Recordings and in just 5 days I'm unleashing my "Voices From Above" on UMEK's 1605. I thought about our Weltsound community and was brainstorming on how to bring some extra value with those releases to the group. Special shoutout also to @Ivan Petrov who reached out to me regarding my new releases and the idea of some tutorials about it. So I thought, why not record some insights of my new release for you, exclusively in the mentorship?! It will be a video of approx. 30 minutes where I will explain you the sound design & arrangement (as well as mixing & mastering if you're interested) - but I will only do it with one track! So please us the poll below to let me know which track do you want to see in this tutorial! Here's all four tracks: Flashback EP (Respekt): https://www.beatport.com/release/flashback-ep/4160328 Voices From Above (1605): https://www.beatport.com/track/voices-from-above/17795405 Of course I would highly appreciate your support on those tracks, we already entered the charts today, so let's make them climb even higher! And I hope my tutorial-video on one of the tracks is something that I can give back to you guys! Thank you & I'm looking forward to record a video like this for you, Adrian / Kos:mo

@Adrian Schwengebecher Laperal Ah that's amazing to hear and that your talent is recognised by him. Maybe that could also be a topic to discuss here (not really youtube material I think), but things like: - how to approach a label - how to send in demos - working with contracts and what to look (out) for You could also make a whole topic on self-release vs label release. Also for everyone wondering: Not all labels accept demos and work with an invite only basis (like 1605 for example).

Content Poll - What are you interested in?
Hey friends, we are wondering: What would you like to be covered in upcoming videos on Weltsound? You know, for each video on YouTube (every Friday!) you, as a part of our Mentorship, exclusively receive additional content such as little Sample Packs, Presets, MIDI Collections, Ableton Templates and more. So, what are you most interested in? It could be a genre, the sound of a specific label/artist, some kind of technique or workflow, ... Let us know in the comments and we'll do our best to make it happen! Please use the "like"- button to upvote comments if you agree as well :) Also, there is some great content coming up for the last weeks of the year - so stay tuned for that! Cheers, Adrian

Hmmm what you could do is at the 2min mark just let the reverb to its thing so that everything fades a bit away. Then you could use your chords stabs at 2:29 in your breakdown the track some to breathe -- maybe just an 8 bars break and then go back at it again. Mixing wise it's all very dark and low. You could maybe brighten your hats a bit more with eq and saturation. Also lots of reverb which can make it quickly sounding muddy. Do you use inserts or return channels? Because the latter could work better because you then could use some sidechain compression. Or use some tools like trackspacer or soothe to sidechain it. Otherwise really powerful track kerel.
Feedback

Agree with Adrian on all points, but man... I really really love the synths. So warm and lush. I don't often get synesthesia but your track gave me a rush of emotional feelings. Can't wait to hear more from you.
