Want to earn more? Make a better offer
The biggest mistake we see teachers making is overcomplicating things. The best way to avoid that is to follow the 'RULE OF ONES'. → One offer → One problem you solve → One method to solve it → One way to enroll → One way to renew And ...→ One happy client 🙃 Keep it simple. You've got this! What's your ONE offer? Leave a comment and we'll give you some feedback.

@Andrew Woodbury Great question. I had a couple of requests to teach J. last year and I was unable to refuse. A couple of those students then asked repeatedly for extensions, so that was rather flattering. That forces me to study (a plus) and I always enjoy a challenge. On the other hand, ESL for Japanese (and sometimes German) learners has been my bread and butter for the past 13 years. I can relax while teaching that, whereas with Japanese I am still learning the ropes. But I have always wanted to teach the latter, more or less consciously. And it's an acquired identity for me, through my husband and daughter. So, staying in that area is important. I have to say I have never questioned the idea of teaching both and perhaps even a third language - I grew up in Italy - until now. :-) The idea of staying with "one offer, one problem, ..one way to enrol etc." - is fascinating in its simplicity, but how does it work on a website?

Thanks for answering Andrew. A business goal. That's still difficult to identify. I would like to know I have a clear offer (in terms of materials or a course) ready first, one that really reflects what I can do and that I feel comfortable talking about because I know there will be people interested listening out there. Then I'll go live with my website. Once I have that, I'll feel more confident setting myself business goals. So, well, ok, I can see that there actually is a first milestone that I need to hit, i.e. working out an offer and then going live, and actually this needs to be completed within the next three weeks. After that I would decide what to charge based on what I think my target audience is prepared to pay and the income I am aiming for. I am sure I have it all backwards!! :-)) Would be grateful for any suggestions...
No Excuses November
Hi Everyone, I hope you all kicked November off with a productive week. While I have been chatting with many of you in the DMs, I have not officially welcomed some of our newest members. So, a big "Welcome!" to @Bethany Anderson @Inga Kezina @Patricia Guimarães @Vicki Robinson @Nurmukhammad Ravshanov @Mp Stevens @Marina Petrova @Shaun Styles @Barbara Murai @Daria Zelenkina and @Luke Souza . If you have not done so, please take action. Introduce yourself to our community. Our community of teachers looking to expand professionally expand themselves is growing fast. If I have missed you here and have not reached out, please feel free to DM me and call my butt out. Chances are, you're here because you want to escape precarity and are thinking about taking some of your classroom work and turning it into a business. BUT, you need someone to work with you 1-1 and support you through the process while holding your butt accountable😅. Or, perhaps, you've already started but have hit a plateau. Well, book a strategy session to chat about your options. We'll help you thread the needle between good teaching and creating a business that works for you. All we want is your commitment to work hard throughout the process🤝. In the meantime, stay connected here, and reach out to @Leonardo Gomes @Andrew Woodbury or @Michael Landry (me) to talk things over or get some quick advice🙋‍♀️. Let's kick some butt this month so we can finish November strong🏁.

Hi @Michael Landry, thanks for the welcome. I did introduce myself somewhere but not sure where that was now. I visit these pages intermittently, find what is here interesting but then get waylaid by life and forget. Can you point me to the first step/page to go to after one's self intro?
