LLC: separates you from your business. You and your business become separate entities. Whatever happens within your business only affects your business and not you. You do however have to pay an $800 annual fee to the secretary of state so it's important that your business makes more than $1500 so that you're still making a profit. S-Corp: In order to get this you will need an established LLC first. They are the 1% that don't have to pay taxes and they have so many write offs, but only if you have the knowledge to do so.
