In Switzerland 🤔 thinking about how BTC is the digital Swiss Bank Account 🏦
I’m attending the Plan ₿ Conference in Lugano, on the Italian Border of Switzerland 🇨🇭 It’s amazing to think that Bitcoin is the modern version of a Swiss Bank Account. Historically, Switzerland has been known for its gold standard in Banking Privacy and the maintaining of strong domestic sovereignty. It has been a bulwark to store wealth and protect it. Now, the Bitcoin offers superior ability to store wealth through time and space in without anyone’s permission. It’s 1000X better than what Swiss Bank accounts were, in many ways. It’s available to everyone ; not just the ultra-wealthy are allowed access to this powerful technology.

@Benjiman Schlegel Bitcoin's an incredible technology, but it's not particularly private, anyone using something like Arkham Intelligence (https://www.arkhamintelligence.com/) can figure out a lot about different people on the network. There are privacy solutions with mixers like "coin join" but they are often viewed badly by governments and in certain jurisdictions you can get in trouble if they find you using them. A lot of apps don't allow addresses that have interacted with mixers to work with them because the companies don't want to get in trouble with governments. So yeah, in its current state, Bitcoin's less private than a Swiss Bank, but Bitcoin's constantly evolving.

@Benjiman Schlegel you can see exactly what addresses have interacted with what addresses. So assuming I send you like $10 in BTC, you'll see where that's come from and be able to walk back up the transactions to see other addresses I may own. You can't be sure all those addresses before were mine, because I could have been sent that $10 by someone else directly before sending it to you. But some clever government agencies with access to certain platforms that have KYC'd you along the way can figure this stuff out.
In Amsterdam for the Bitcoin Conference! 🇳🇱
I think this will be my 5th Bitcoin Conference. Each one has been amazing and lead to some interesting connections. 🔸⛏️⚡️

Nice work! I've been in this space for almost a decade now but never been to an official event. I should go some day

I level up crypto beginners to experts, teaching how to self-manage and build a long-term portfolio. Bitcoin's heading to over $1m, don't miss out!
