If youโ€™re here you need to be willing to learn. Proof-of-work or HFSP For those interested, you can find the referenced Bitcoin First research paper here. Itโ€™s mandatory reading as far as Iโ€™m concerned. https://www.fidelitydigitalassets.com/research-and-insights/bitcoin-first

In Switzerland ๐Ÿค” thinking about how BTC is the digital Swiss Bank Account ๐Ÿฆ
Iโ€™m attending the Plan โ‚ฟ Conference in Lugano, on the Italian Border of Switzerland ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ Itโ€™s amazing to think that Bitcoin is the modern version of a Swiss Bank Account. Historically, Switzerland has been known for its gold standard in Banking Privacy and the maintaining of strong domestic sovereignty. It has been a bulwark to store wealth and protect it. Now, the Bitcoin offers superior ability to store wealth through time and space in without anyoneโ€™s permission. Itโ€™s 1000X better than what Swiss Bank accounts were, in many ways. Itโ€™s available to everyone ; not just the ultra-wealthy are allowed access to this powerful technology.

Bought $75 of BTC...
I just bought $75 of BTC and got it to my cold storage wallet... but I lost like $1 due to fees. Is that normal? Nonetheless, it is cool to be able to have BTC in cold storage like that. I bought it through CashApp, which obv has its regulations and whatnot... And if I wanted to send just like $10, there would have been a stinkin $3 fee... what the heck? Why is that? Nonetheless, like I said... super cool stuff.

First sats hitting cold storage *chefs kiss* ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ๐ŸคŒ Fees can be high due to congested blockspace. High fees benefit miners (more rewards). Generally we have been in a low-fee environment, but it can spike so you want to check and wait for low fees unless itโ€™s urgent ๐Ÿšจ Besides network fees some exchanges will charge a separate fee for transfers. You probably wonโ€™t pay any fees on your pool rewards from your miner(s)

๐Ÿ’ฅ **The ECB's Bitcoin Take: What They Got Wrong!** ๐Ÿ’ฅ In this video I offer my perspective on the ECB Research Paper arguing that Bitcoin rising in value is not a good thing ๐Ÿฆโ˜น๏ธ Worth a read : https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4985877 In this video, we dive into the **European Central Bank's** report on Bitcoin ๐Ÿง and break down some key points that caught our attention! From claiming Bitcoin impoverishes non-holders to labeling it as the โ€œcurrency of criminalsโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฑ, the ECBโ€™s perspective has some *major flaws*. ๐Ÿ” We'll explore: - How Bitcoin ๐ŸŸ  might actually empower people and improve their lives. - The **central banks**' misunderstanding of Bitcoin's energy usage and scarcity ๐ŸŒ. - Why Bitcoinโ€™s rise might be inevitable ๐Ÿ’ฐ.

Hi all, is any one here involved in mining in the United Kingdom?

Iโ€™m UK based. Most of my miners are in North America besides a couple mini miners that I run at home.
