Motivation
Hey Everyone! You may remember that sometime ago I aimed to start a series where I would share my reserach journey. And you all showed immense support and I really want to thank all of you. But, I hate to say it but, I LOST MOTIVATION. I really think motivation is a HUGE factor in persuing something you love to do. So as I right this, school is just about to start, so below this post I would like everyone to share quotes and tips to stay motivated or just fill the comment section with positivity to help EVERYONE feel energized for the upcoming year and any things they may want to persue!

@Abdullah Kamil Really like the way you talked about the clear difference between discipline and motivation. Will try to incorporate your advice!

Research Leadership Opportunity by Rishab Jain
Hello, my name is Rishab Jain, and I am the President of the International Research Olympiad. We have spent weeks assembling the following: - Funding to grow and scale - Social media templates - Club meeting slideshows - Curriculum/materials - Our large network of tens of thousands of students - … and much more In other words, we will make it extremely easy for you to create a research club at your school, or affiliate an existing club with us. In our 23+ page guidebook, we will walk you step by step through the process of creating a research club at your school. Link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1P7lshfP_WtwIy_rqoCk3_5aAbd9ftlj-3pH4FTC0LrU/edit?usp=sharing This is an EXCELLENT leadership opportunity for you -- we will help you reach thousands of students in your local area. But, be fast: Thousands of students will be starting research clubs in the next few days, and many students from your own school will fill out our forms. We will operate on a first-come-first-serve basis. This means that if two students apply from the same school to become President of their Research Club, we will honor the first student's request, and encourage the second student to work as a Co-President or other leader in the club. Any questions? Ask in the thread below!

@Rishab Jain Just a quick question. Rishab, you mentioned above that there will be an application process, but how will it work because the docs is avaliable to everyone? Also what is the application form for exactly? Btw great initiative!!!

Day 1: Starting a Research Project
Hello everyone! I am a rising sophomore starting my first-ever research project. I have always been a curious mind but have never really tried my hand at research. I thought it would be cool so I chose a topic which involved identifying biomarkers to help detect cancers earlier. This is only day one so I have little to no information about the topic. I have done some broad research first, such as why early identification is important and the different methods of testing for cancers. I plan on reading more articles, and papers, and watching videos to learn more about my field of interest. I also plan to post these blogs once a week where I will share my progress and learnings. Make sure to like this post if you want to hear weekly updates and please leave some tips on how to understand higher-level articles, resources, or anything else you think would help me along my journey. Thanks and wish me the best of luck!
