New Feature: Rules
You can now clearly communicate to your community what is allowed and what is not allowed. To help each other figure out what rules to add let's crowdsource rules. What's the first rule that comes to your mind that you might add?

New Feature: Rules

For those who never wished to have imposed rules, was this copy really necessary? A really low move, quite dissapointing.

@Sam Ovens Well, It's funny if your community is casual and takes it less seriously, but it's too imposing if your community has a different tone of voice. It's quite a bold move to assume that every community will take it as funny. I feel forced to add rules now to prevent people from taking it the wrong way (though we didn't need rules so far).
New Feature: One-Time Course Purchases!
This may have unlocked the easiest way for beginners to start making money. You start with a free community. You use it as a lead magnet, making it easier to get your first few members. You build relationships with every member through community, DMs, and calls. You use the free community to become better at your skill. You're positioned as an authority, because you're the creator of the community. You speak to the people in the community, to figure out their problems/goals. Then when the time is right you monetize by charging people one-time. You can use it to unlock a course. Or you can sell a done-for-you service or 1 on 1 coaching which may be easier to sell if you're just getting started. This feature is now released. Check your classroom, it's there. Skool 🚀

New Feature: One-Time Course Purchases!

This is SUCH good news! A game changeeeeeeer! Thank you for posting @Andrew Kirby 🎉 ___ Do you know if there are any efforts to enable hybrid access models? e.g. A member can choose to buy a course now or reach level 6 and get access for free? This would be SO awesome for community ER.
Skool's roadmap — what's coming soon
Here's our roadmap. The image below shows you what's in progress and what's up next. You probably noticed we shipped many new features in the last 2-weeks. We hired some amazing talent, reorganized our teams — and our development velocity increased — significantly. Some of you were a little concerned at the rate of change. When we dug deeper, we found that lack of communication was the real issue. We learned from this and will improve moving forward. Sharing this roadmap is a way of keeping you in the loop of what's coming soon. We're super excited to share these new features with you! Internally, our team agreed, it feels like we're just getting started. Let's build this thing together 🔥

I'm wondering if this table is still up to date or there is a more actual roadmap for 2024? Thank you 🙏
❓What does Your Skool Do❓
Thinking about what my Skool will offer…. I’d love to know what’s the transformation your Skool offers people who join your group? What’s your group name and the transformation? Eg My group is called xxxxxxx and it helps people do xxxxxxxxxx by doing xxxxxxxxx

@Jamie Ogilvy Its a long story. In a nutshell first Covid inflated tech business (since people were mostly doing stuff at home online) leading companies to over-hire in the race of growth. Which cratered a huge demand for tech professionals and increasing job offers… Then in 2022 economic inflation led to slowing the growth and consumers to become more conservative, hence companies came to realize they cannot afford all the people they hired and mass restructuring started taking place. —— TL;DR Mostly fault of the companies (greed and thirst for growth).

@Ron Davis Specifically on design, and mostly focusing on building a storytelling portfolio (pretty niche). A job board is one of the channels, but definitely not a core of it.
Switch A User from Free to Paid
Hi! I run a free community and later on I would love to make some of my courses paid. Is there a way a free member can switch to a different membership plan or how does it work?

@Erika Kulpina I face the same dillema. I want free community members to sign up to a subscription as soon as they want to start taking courses. So that means preserving active engagement with free community, but subscription price for the courses. Is there any future plan to enable 2 pricing plans (including free & paid)? This would help me deciding if I should use stripe+zapier as a workaround (which I'd like to avoid) or if it's already baking and I can just wait. Please, let me know.
