Replace Obligation with Peace...
One of the exercises I have my group clients do every week is Scripture declarations. I start by identifying what Holy Spirit is asking us to release and then what He wants to bless us with. Each exercise is planned with the particular focus of the current Hebrew Months in mind - so this month is Elul (Sept 4 - Oct 3) and we are focusing on Intimacy with the Lord as He walks with us. Here is today's Declaration, Prayer & Scripture Inspiration to replace Obligation with Peace: Declare: I am enveloped in God’s peace, unhindered by obligation, and perfectly at rest in His presence. 🕊 Prayer 🕊 Lord, I ask You to lift the burdens of obligation that weigh me down. Remove the emotional weight they’ve left behind, and fill me with Your blessings. Help me see how I can walk in the fullness of this peace, calming every disturbance and finding tranquility in Your presence. Let me experience what it feels like to live fully at peace with Your grace. In Jesus' Peaceful Name, Amen. Scripture Inspiration ~ Galatians 5:1 (TPT): At last we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past. How has obligation stifled your ability to feel peaceful?

@Lisa Vanderveen That is so good! This is a confirmation to me for some things I have been praying about.

@Sheena McKinney That's very interesting. Thanks for the info!
Controversial Topics
I believe we need to start having deeper conversations, especially about the more controversial topics in the church. If we as a society can’t put on our big boy/girl pants and engage in these discussions, what does that say about us? We don’t have to *agree* on everything, but we should be open to *understanding* other perspectives. It’s not about who is right, but *what* is right—and seeking the truth together. These conversations don’t have to turn into debates or arguments. We can disagree and still respect one another, keeping it clean and focused on learning. Let’s ask the deeper questions and hear each other out. I’d love to know your thoughts on this—do you think we need to have these conversations, and how do we approach them in a healthy way?

@Angela Linville There are so many different definitions of what it means to be a Christian. Many people claim to be a Christian, but much fewer can say that they are Christ-followers.

@Angela Linville I agree with @Lisa Vanderveen that it is important to know the purpose of the discussion. I think your heart is to build community, which I see as place to encourage one another as we build the Kingdom. I'm not sure this is the space where debate needs to take place, but it is a place where we can learn to understand each other. We all have different backgrounds and experiences. We are all getting to know one another, so "virtual small talk" seems like a safe way to start. Jumping in to controversial subjects with strangers can be dangerous waters! Also, since the ultimate purpose is to have a "Kingdom Culture Revolution", then it should be clear that Biblical principles are what will be promoted, even when we have different interpretations of Scripture.
Happy Sunday!
Just want to let everyone know that I typically will not spend a lot of time here on Sundays. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but this place is so fun it can get addictive! I’ve been convicted that I need to do things differently; that we are in a culture war and are called to be counter-cultural…to be IN the world but not OF it. This has been confirmed multiple times. So in that spirit, I want to set the standard, which means that Sundays are a day of rest and connection for our family. Your day of rest may be Saturday…or Wednesday. Whatever it may be, enjoy the big beautiful world around you and disconnect from your devices! For now…Something fun for you! I’ve been challenged to select a “theme song” for this community. I’m taking nominations this week, so drop your favorite beat and we’ll vote on it! Blessings!

Sundays are definitely NOT a day of rest when you are in the ministry! At least not in my experience. Saturdays are my day of rest. 🙂
We had a wonderful time of fellowship today in our Meet & Greet!
We discussed so many meaningful topics: - The state of the church, - The call to be counter-cultural, - The strength that comes through authentic community, And most importantly, we shared our hearts and visions with one another. My favorite part was hearing the hearts of each individual for mankind. I truly sensed the Father’s heart being expressed through each voice… **Lisa**, who is passionate about awakening vision so people can operate at their highest potential... **Kristin**, who unlocks cages so women can soar... **Clint**, who is training men to thrive and lead the way God has created them to… Now, I’d love to hear from YOU! What are *you* passionate about? Share your heart with us below!

I'm sorry I missed it. I just couldn't fit it in my schedule. I'm passionate about teaching Believers to follow Christ, understand Scripture, and be true disciples.
