Hi everyone! I know you are all reading the Success Principles still and I wanted to announce our next book for October! We will be reading the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene! This books talks about power dynamics with historical events that illustrate each law. The books delves deep into the ways people rise to power, keep power and lose power. Some of the teachings in this book can be used for manipulative behavior and the book seems to be banned in a lot of prisons. However, human beings do behave in the way the books talks about so I think can cost all of us a lot to NOT know these laws. It is a very easy read to I'm super excited to read it with you all! I recently did something that used to be uncomfortable for me before internalizing the principles from this book. I went to meet with an apparel contractor and let him know that the prices they are currently paying are too low for me and I don't see a future with their company. Being the old me, I would've beat around the bush about the topic and not really be clear with what I want to say because it would make me uncomfortable to make the person in front of me uncomfortable. This time I was direct, clear & honest with the message and it actually paid off. The vendor appreciated the clarity and honesty & we're still friends.
