No exciting items this week, just consistent sales, which I’m excited about. Was just shy of 25% up July over June.

You guys also have access to an app that will alert you to price drops. It’s called something like Deal Soldier. Jride flips talks about it. I’ve been dipping my toe in the water with TK Maxx (aka TJ Maxx in the US).

Just found him the other day. He’s awesome (and loves cats too!!!).

I only started in January so am still new. The worst thing I did was to compare myself to experienced people on YouTube who talk about doing 20, 50, 120 listings a day. I was overwhelmed. I think, more importantly, is to learn to do your listings correctly. Spend the time to look at sold listings, titles, keywords, how they do their photos, etc. It may take you longer, but you’ll get sales and your confidence will grow. You will get quicker I promise. Another good thing about listing what is around your house, is you’ll get a feel for what interests you. You don’t have to sell what YouTubers sell. You do you.

It’s the same with the big corporates in Australia…but: 1. They are inherently lazy, so they know the brands like Levi’s and Nike, but miss loads of brands that go for a higher price. 2. The stock sits there and doesn’t get sold, so they lower prices. 3. Some store managers are pragmatic, and price appropriately, you just have to work out which ones and build relationships. 4. At some stage, they are going to hire a ceo that gets they are in the business of getting free and selling low and that their mandate is not to compete with resellers. Until then, they are in the storage business and not making as much money as they could. 5. There are lots of little op shops and church op shops that are amazing. Just keep looking bud….the stuff is there.
