Hey Mark, I lived in Portland for 10 years, Im now in Florida. #1) Go to the Portland Adventists Community Services, its two buildings of thrift on Halsey Street east of the 205. 11020 N.E. Halsey Street, Portland OR 97220. Check out their website, they have some out of the ordinary hours of operation. #2) CAT Thrift Store, 4838 SW Scholls Ferry Rd, Portland, OR 97225. Supports cat adoptions. When I was moving from Portland to Florida I must have dropped off 3 or 4 van loads of my stuff there, lol. Nice people. #3) If you want to thrift, go south. Like towards Salem, there are a lot of thrift stores other than GW, but I hear some of the GW down there have decent prices, theres also a Salvation Army store in that direction. And theres a place called H2O Thrift Store in Dallas, OR I heard had good prices. And also the Super Thrift in Salem is good as well. #4) oh one more....over in Vancouver is Retails, a giant thrift store benefitting the Humane Society! Have fun!

oh and for restaurants...Stamtisch amazing German food; Kachka amazing Russian food; best pizza in Portland APizza Scholls, but gotta get there early, they run out of dough, I dont think they allow take out either; Providore - the best gourmet store with local produce Ive ever been in; I love Burgerville; Nicholas Restaurant for Lebanese; Nostrana - fancy mediterranean; Pastrami Zombie HUGE sandwiches great quality; Theres an Asian market in Beaverton called Uwajimaya, and they have a restaurant attached where we've had excellent ramen. In the Nordic Northwest - nordic heritage cultural building there is an excellent Scandinavian restaurant that only does breakfast and lunch, Broder Soder. Also for sighseeing, I'd recommend a walk up and down Mississippi Avenue, and also Williams Avenue where my girlfriend has Jinju Patisserie, chocolates to knock your socks off, and been voted the best croissant in Portland for several years in a row. Check out TravelPortland.com........can you tell I loved the place????
So many Poshmark things make no sense
If anyone can help here. Two things. First, I sold a jacket on Ebay last night, and I tried this morning to delete it from Poshmark, but it says there is an 'open offer' that was sent by my 'PosherVA' automatically today. Is there no way to delete an item? I cant even do 'not for sale' under the Available tab, it wont let me. So if someone accepts, I'm gonna have to tell them its not available. What a waste of everyones time. Secondly, I rarely get a sale on Poshmark. We talk about Ebay 99% of the time here, but wondering if anyone is a whiz at Poshmark. I know its a different animal, and doesnt run the same as Ebay. So wondering if there is any magic sauce for Poshmark? I have PosherVA that shares my closet multiple times a day, and I also have 'Offer to Liker' also set up to automatically send an offer 5 minutes after someone looks at one of my items. I dont really see much return on investment with it and am considering cancelling it. Your thoughts, anyone? Thanks!

@Jerry Wilson I do see a lot of people using stock photos on Poshmark and I wonder how they are able to do it without getting caught. I've looked them up in the past, but seems like a hassle to go through finding them online, then trying to lift the photo from the company website, etc. So I've never used. Only do my own photos. What is Ebays policy on them?

@Francisco Fernandez Umm listen Francisco, rather it is more like entering the bowels of Goodwill than a magical forest. Sorry, I go there but only a few times a year. I find it creepy, dirty, weird.....and thats just the people. The clothing - yeah I've found items with poop in them, no wonder everyone wears rubber gloves (dont forget yours), and many people wear masks, not because of covid lol but because of the smell (people and clothes). OK, so that was my experience and I am not in a hurry to go back. BUT yes I have found some things at the bins but not enough to make me want to go back anytime soon. So thats my opinion and the experience Ive had.

What are your feelings, thoughts and whatever’s when you see someone destroy something just found that is not politically correct or popular but is in fact historical? I see this happen often.
