@Dylan Scutti Good points. Gene Simmons makes the point there is a process to develop iconic image and sound with music artists back then, and is absent today. So the question is what make you as a music artist unique? Is it image, sound, and/or the story you tell? What mythos are you building as an artist? I believe the key is to become a master storyteller. From there you can build a community and movement, which will help you scale up your career in the industry.
