@Ted Carr yeah that is my point, if Bitcoin is ever a threat to any fiat currency it can easily be outlawed or at the very least controlled by an institution by saying any bitcoin that isn't "washed" by an arm of the global government is a crime to possess. The US doesn't criminalize entire populations but it can and does act violent when threats to the dollar supremacy comes up, whether that be from individuals or foreign governments.

@Ted Carr again I do hold bitcoin too, but it just makes me think, if Bitcoin is just numbers on a screen what gives it value? I got into Bitcoin because I thought it was better than fiat currency aka numbers on a screen. There are things better about it, I see Bitcoin as essentially decentralized fiat currency, not backed by anything but at least its hard to control... unless the powers that be want to... Would this be a fair depiction?
