Finally made an outreach to that BMW dealer (we'll see what happens ;)
Hi Fam, I remember back in Summer or so, I've been contemplating how to make an outreach to one of the two competing BMW dealerships in my city - the one that's somewhat weak with video, while their competitors post reels and videos all the time. Why I care about this one: - in my country, shooting videos for car dealerships seems to be elevating you constantly to a pro-grade studio in the eyes of a lot of potential clients, - I've worked for the brand once (through an agency) so it could give me extra points in negotiations, if I was able to have the meeting and show them productions I cannot post online, - I'm a genuine fan of these cars, so it would be a great fun to work with them :D That dealership is part of a bigger, country-wide chain and sometimes they produce something, but only in our capital city; these reels or YT videos are then posted by all the local branches. For a few months, I've been interacting with their fanpage, like praising their posts when something interesting appeared, buying the wiper blades for my own car and then contacting them via social media to say how I'm amazed with fast delivery, etc π I also wanted to have at least a few reels on my social media pages before approaching them, to make myself a bit more believable. Yesterday, they posted another reel that was shot in Warsaw for the entire country's dealerships, so I contacted them again - it went more or less like that: Me (after giving the reaction to the FB reel): That X3 looks amazing! Btw. - have you ever considered going towards more video communication also on your local fanpages (e.g. here in Gdansk)? They responded: We try to do it as often as possible :) Me: I see! Well, if there is a need for that - as someone working with video and a huge fan of the brand (who also had the pleasure to work with BMW in the past), I'll gladly help with that, on as convenient terms as possible :) Now I'll see what they respond to that (if anything). If they don't (or say no for now) - is it worth shooting some follow-up message after some time?
