Accountability Tracker & Journaling
Hi all, I recently crossed paths with @Advaita Simha and I am very thankful for that. On his guidance, I am building a new routine. I will use this thread to share with the Skool community: 1. My daily practices 2. Gratitude and daily journal 3. How I am progressing in my goal to become a deliberate, disciplined and profitable day trader. My intention is to: 1. Be truthful 2. Be more present throughout the day and break free from my negative patterns 3. Help others through my journey I promise to update this thread at least once a day. I am open to feedback / suggestions / ideas on how to do this better. Namaste 🙏 B

@Advaita Simha Thank you, your definition of the PORN acronym really helped. All of this is true, I knew it, I feel it. I am going to be more mindful when the next wave arrives. Something Nakula said also resonates, that the urge is a sign of your brain rewiring.

21/Dec/2024 Practices: Pranayama Gratitude followed by: Acknowledging my desire, feeling it completely. Handing it over and surrendering. Recognising when I am in a fearful state and rebalancing. Calisthenics Long walk with my son with the sun out in a chilly December. It was lovely. I lied to my wife about being rejected from a job application when I did not even apply for it in the first place. It was totally unnecessary (it is never necessary). The topic did not come up, I brought it up, cooked it up and served it. I had good trading performance today. Looking forward to the next week.

Thank you for the video, @Advaita Simha I used to suppress my desires until I realised that desires are fuel and nothing to be ashamed of. When you talked about the spiritual ego and wanting to be humble and down to earth, that really resonated with me. For a long time I thought as if being timid was 'better'. My biggest desire in life right now: #1 To be a disciplined, deliberate and profitable day-trader. The 'why' behind my desire: It represents freedom and self-reliance for me. An interpretation of my name is 'lord / ruler of emotions' and it is my natural path to become true to my name. An impulsive individual simply cannot be a long term profitable trader. To connect with other aspiring day traders and help them achieve their goals. How would it feel to have this right now? If I close my eyes and imagine to have accomplished that goal right now, the feelings are: Relief, coming back home, like reaching a summit. I want to move to a different country / city with my family. I know exactly where we'd be living, what would be our lifestyle, what I'd do in the mornings, which parks I will go to. I can visualise all of these things very clearly. I can feel this tingling energy in every part of my body. At the same time, @Advaita Simha, in the background, I know that it is also not true. Trading is brutal, it is black and white. Your account is either red or green. There are no shades of grey. So, it feels very counterintuitive to just focus on the feeling of what it would be like, when the cold harsh reality is right in front of me. Part of me acknowledges all the concepts of law of attraction, vibration, manifestation - how time/space are just a concept in the 3-dimensional world et al. But there is this nagging voice that tells me it is not true and I cannot logically dismiss that. Am I doubting my ability to become successful? How do I reconcile this?

What do you want to work on?
Which area you want to focus on at the moment? (good to know for me which content I should work on next!)

I'd also like to work on negative self-talk patterns. If they are linked with some childhood incidents (in some cases it does feel so) and how to move past them. Perhaps being in Flow State & Present Moment Awareness takes care of that?

Let’s get started! 🎉 To kick things off, I’d love for you to introduce yourself in the comments below. Share a little about yourself and connect with others in the community. Here’s a guide to help: #1. Who are you, where you’re from, and what's your spiritual practice? #2. What do you hope to gain or achieve by being part of this community? #3. What is your favourite thing to do? Share a hobby, activity, or practice that brings you joy or helps you feel grounded and in peace. #4. Share a photo of your sacred space—where you practice yoga, meditation, or engage in any other spiritual practices. 1.) My name is Advaita Simha. I’m originally from Austria, but for the past 12 years, I’ve been based in Germany. I come from the Bhakti yoga tradition, where I spent many years as a monk in a monastery, immersing myself in the study of ancient yogic texts and Vedic scriptures. My spiritual practice centers on yoga, meditation, and pranayama—the ancient science of breathwork. I also chant mantras for over 2 hours daily and study yogic scriptures regularly as part of my practice. But the greatest practice of all is sharing it with others. The more you give, the more you get! 2.) I aspire to create a space for like-minded spiritual individuals where we can grow together—beyond the limitations of our body, mind, and intellect. My hope is to facilitate your spiritual journey, helping you dive deeper into your practice, while also allowing me the privilege of serving you. In doing so, I aim to further grow on my own spiritual path, as we inspire and uplift one another. 3.) I find immense joy in engaging in kirtan—the sacred chanting of divine mantras with friends and loved ones. This practice dissolves the false ego, stress, and anxiety, bringing about a state of ecstatic bliss. Additionally, my daily yoga asana and pranayama routines, along with meditation to connect with my heart space, are essential practices that ground me and cultivate inner peace. 4.) This is my small, sacred heart space—a place where I go deep into meditation, connect with my inner self, and find peace. It also doubles as my studio for YouTube recordings and creative work.

1) I am B. I am from India. My spiritual practice is all jumbled up. Sometimes it is just quiet time, sometimes it is mantra japa, sometimes it is a 20m Transcendental Meditation session, sometimes it is breathwork followed by meditation (kriya yoga style), sometimes it is a Joe Dispenza meditation, sometimes it is Neti Neti, sometimes it is just a follow along as suggested by the YT algo. 2) I hope to be the best version of myself and break free from negative patterns. 3) I love being in nature, hikes and parks. Going for a walk with my 3 yr old son. I also love financial day trading (it is a phenomenal me vs me sport, almost like golf). 4) My desk is my small sacred corner. It is messy right now - I will post a photo once I have cleaned it up :D
