5 Million Impressions Later: Let's Talk Email Signatures and Work-Life Balance
Last week, I posted about this idea of adding an email signature that essentially said that you do not need to respond if received outside of regular working hours. This idea went viral, no joke - almost 5 million impressions and counting. However, there was a lot of input that this approach is not a good one, and perhaps "schedule send" or "delay delivery" of email is a more appropriate approach. What do you think?

5 Million Impressions Later: Let's Talk Email Signatures and Work-Life Balance

My company has group policies in place that prevents emails from being sent outside of work hours and will automatically deliver the next day. I check my emails three times during the business day (upon arrival, after lunch, and before going home). 40 hours is a lot of time to get the job done, don't let unnecessary digital banter interrupt your personal time.

Your LinkedIn Headline Matters
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve had several people ask me if I can help them even if they are not between the ages of 30-45. The reason they ask is because my headline says “I help 30-45-Year-Olds (Like You) Get Promoted | Ex $4B Exec | Join Exclusive Community | Effectiveness Expert | Keynote Speaker” This is the thing. The advice and practices can help anybody, however I target that audience because I have a good sense of their pain points and desires. It also gives me clarity on who is most likely to find value. That doesn’t mean it’s a requirement to be that age. I’ve thought about changing this to be more generic, however I have noticed that people find it unique and eye catching. What’s the point here? Your headline matters. Whether you are looking for a new job or to get promoted, it’s your statement of who you are. Get creative and have some fun with it. What’s your headline? Comment below for feedback from the community.

5 Internal Company Interview Mistakes That Could Be Costing You the Promotion🚨
Promotional internal job interviews can be tough, but sometimes, it's the little things that can make or break your chances. Want to know the common mistakes that might be standing between you and that next role? Let’s dive in! 👇 ✅ Mistake 1: Asking About Salary Too Soon I get it—salary is important. But bringing it up too early can make it seem like it's all you care about. Instead, focus on how well the role and company align with your goals. The salary talk will come later, when you have more leverage💡 ✅ Mistake 2: Making Salary Requests Personal Your personal financial needs are very important but its not the best way to negotiate your salary. Stick to your skills, experience, and the value you bring to the table. The reason for this is you need to leverage what they value and not your needs to get the best outcome for both you and the company. Know your worth based on industry standards—not personal circumstances. 📊 ✅ Mistake 3: Sounding DesperateI know you might really want the job, but saying "I'll do anything" isn't going to work in your favour. Instead, focus on how your skills can solve their problems. Let your value, not desperation, shine through. 💼 ✅ Mistake 4: Being Overconfident Confidence is great, but humility is key. Highlight your accomplishments while also showing that you’re are open to continue learning and growing with the team. Balance is everything. ⚖️ ✅ Mistake 5: Failing to Follow Up The interview doesn’t end when you walk out the door. A simple thank-you email can make a huge difference. It shows you're thoughtful, organized, and still interested in the role. 📧

Mistake 5 is my favorite, Hiring Managers work at a high velocity and constantly sifting through or adjusting priorities. Following through keeps dialog open, and prompts the Hiring Manager to provide a status.
