An idea to curb addiction
As told in the habit gammification method, that we have to give ourselves points for reaching levels. We can also deduce some points when we see ourselves fall back into the same old patterns/addictions. For example, I have set a limit on the usage of social media to not go beyond 1 hr. If my usage crosses this limit, I'll deduce 1 point from the overall score. If my usage crosses 2 hrs, I'll deduce 2 points. If it crosses 3, I'll deduce 3 and so on.. this could be applied to control any bad habit. Doomscrolling is just one example. What's everyone's view on this ?
