👾100 paid members & #160 rank on discovery!! 👾
🎉 Today at GIF, we blasted past a wild milestone: 100 paid members and officially hit #160 ranking in discovery! 🤯 Ryan, Eric, and I are trying to shake up the skool scene by proving you can create FUN first, education second communities. I can't believe that we started a fun experiment three weeks ago that catapulted us to page one of the finance sector (@Sid Sahasrabuddhe can you please make a fun category for us?!) 🙈 As we always preach post a GIF in the comments if you love GIFs as much as we do. We are loving this journey with you all ❤️

Full post not showing
See video for below. Kinda hard to explain. Was trying to make a long form post and kept getting errors. Ended up having to finish it in notes to reword a bunch of stuff. @Sid Sahasrabuddhe hoping you can look into this 🤙🏽

@Rex Anderson the screen was going blank when trying to make a long form post. That is the issue here. I tapped in different areas to show certain areas go blank as well when tapping

Problem w/ your target 🎯 audience
If your community tries to appeal to everyone, it effectively appeals to no one. True targeting is specific. Attempting to target everyone is just plain stupid because not everyone shares the same values. Your potential members will only be interested if your values align with theirs 🧐 I often hear people say, "We want to sell to everybody." However, that's unrealistic. How can you target everyone? Consider brands like 📦 Amazon, 🏀 Nike, and ☕️ Starbucks. They might appear to be for everyone, but they actually focus on specific markets. While many people shop there, these brands communicate directly to particular archetypes through their voice, style, and design 👀 You might worry about alienating some people, but if you're not willing to turn some away, how can you ensure you'll attract anyone? 🤧 Even niche markets like 🛹 skating have billion-dollar brands. For example, Supreme built its brand by targeting New York skaters 🗽 who wanted exclusive, high-fashion gear. In contrast, Santa Cruz targets a suburban style with low-priced fashion and a West Coast vibe. Understanding your target audience, knowing what they want, and figuring out how to attract them is crucial for success 👵🏻👴🏼🧍🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️ How are you targeting potential members for your community?

@Shubham Borad if you try to please everybody you’ll please nobody haha. I love your approach and goal. If you can nurture those 1000 members to stick with you long term then you’ll be set up for success in the future

@Shubham Borad We target folks who are similar to our personalities and want to include more fun in their communties. Where Culture goes money flows. Folks who are in it for more of a mundane type grind.
Share your niche using GIFs 🌠
Fun game we ran this in our MAKE IT Series community (giffing inspired by Gif /Culture yo!) and thought fun to share. ➡ Comment below only using 🌠 GIFs that visually represent your niche. ➡ Try to guess each others' in replies (text OK in replies). Let's go! 😆 ___

Reviews for Communities
Hey all, I recently stood up a new community called reviewers (https://www.skool.com/reviewers) where you can leave reviews for Skool communities you've been a part of and connect with folks who belong to communities you're thinking to join. It's free to join reviewers, but the community is private. Not sure if reviews/testimonials is a feature on the Skool roadmap, but in the meantime, I got it covered! So far we have already started talking about www.skool.com/gif, www.skool.com/culture, www.skool.com/maxpremium, and a few others https://www.skool.com/reviewers to check it out!
