Socktober 2026 has a new home!
Hey everyone, I feel like I owe you an apology for being so quiet on here. I've barely posted or replied since the end of the last KAL, and there's a good reason for that. 🤩 We've been building something new. As much as I've enjoyed running KALs in this community, it hasn't been without challenges. The amount of scammers and spammers we've had to deal with has been exhausting, and Skool was not really built with knitters in mind. So when Asim joined Zanete Knits in April, we agreed that we would build something from scratch: A platform designed specifically for knitters, where the whole KAL experience just works better. 🎉 Today we're launching it, and the first event is Socktober 2026: a month of knitting socks together, running 1 to 31 October. To take part, you pick any Zanete Knits sock pattern, and post your progress alongside other knitters. It's completely free to join, I'll be in the Room every day, and there are prizes for finished projects including gift cards and courses. 🎁 If you're a sock knitter, I'd love to see you there. 🙏 Oh, and there’s also a special offer on all sock patterns to kick that off - with code SOCKTOBER26, get 10% off any of the patterns in my sock collection. Stitch count in raglan bottom up cardigan
My Dearest Knitters, I would like to design my own raglan bottom up cardigan, because I have so many beautiful patterns I would like to use. Im just not sure about the stitch count (back/sides/sleeves increases and decreases…) please is there some general rule? Thank you so much, Jana PS: not sure if it matters, but I’m planning to use DK yarn…
