Hey Renegades,
This will likely be the most boring email you read all day.
And it contains very unimportant news.
I deleted my LinkedIn account and started anew.
You can connect with me here. Why did I delete my account with countless adorning fans, 1000s of connection etc etc?
Simple.
I couldn't give a shit about 99.9% of them.
So I've decided to start fresh and keep my connections to one of three categories exclusively.
1) People in our world. Clients of all flavours, book buyers and our Renegades (this includes you)
2) Interesting people. Ones that I've sought out, and don't make me want to cry when I read their posts.
3) Prospects we send shit to. If I'm spending considerable sums of money sending out high value packages, I want to give them the opportunity to thank me (and I want to stalk them)
If you do decide to connect with me, or just have a nosy here you'll notice my about section is a little unusual. On the surface it looks rather odd... But inside it lies a valuable lesson.
The vast majority of people who will view my profile would've received something in the post from us, and will be asking themself the question..."Who the fuck is this?"
So it's meticulously designed to answer that very question, and sell them on the next step -- which is a call with myself.
Most about sections are useless. They are auto-fellatio smut to serve ones own ego when they should be selling the next step, whatever that may be.
And this silliness isn't exclusive to LinkedIn abouts.
No. Most people blow their load too early with their marketing.
When your marketing should do one thing, always -- sell the next logical step.
Let me repeat.
Your marketing has one job -- to sell the next logical step.
Go look at your current marketing and be honest with yourself...
...Are you asking them to build a bridge too far?
If so, make the change.
Warmly,
-Connor
P.S. The GIF is satire.
