💪 How To Avoid Wear & Tear From Exercise As You Age
Myth: A lot of people as they age believe they need to train more, train harder, and push their bodies to its absolute limits to see results, because they got older. Running, cycling, hiking, pilates, workouts … Now the problem with that is: Wear And Tear. Injuries. Back Pain, Knee Pain .. more exercise is hardly the answer. The answer is to do strength training 2-4x a week and walk 10k steps a day. That way you strengthen your muscles, bones and the walking keeps you burning fat while keeping the wear and tear at bay. 🏋️ My honest thoughts on Crossfit
Alright guys, so I tried Crossfit for 4 weeks, 2x a week. My honest verdict: I got leaner quicker, yes. BUT, I also: #1: lost muscle mass #2: got hungrier #3: was more exhausted, and also irritable. #4: my sex drive went down. High intensity exercise does that to your body. The more intense the sessions, the bigger the repercussions. Strength Training + Walking 10k Steps is the way. Just my thoughts, drop a 💪 if this was helpful!
