Mastering Upwork Portfolios (Get More Messages)
Whether you offer a visual service or not, you NEED a portfolio.
If you offer a visual service like graphic design, video editing, or web design your portfolio is simple: Create at least 3 sections and put as many examples of your work into each section as you can. Break up your sections by the service. For example:
Section #1: Short-Form Video Editing
Section #2: Long-Form Video Editing
Section #3: Thumbnail Design
If you offer a non-visually stimulating service like Bookkeeping, SEO, or Google Ads you still NEED a portfolio. It’s an opportunity to stand out from thousands of other freelancers and agencies in your niche.
I promise you, it’s worth doing.
There are 2 strategies I teach in my Premium Upwork Community for this:
#1:
Film a 1-2 minute video discussing each service you offer. Mention your experience with the service, what it includes, and results you’ve achieved.
#2:
Use a tool like loom, and review a clients dashboard / ad account and create a mini case study. Mention what the client was struggling with when they hired you, what you helped them with, and the results you generated. These videos are typically 2-3 minutes long.
Film 3 of them and put them each into their own section of your portfolio.
Implement these portfolio strategies and you’ll get more clients to send you a message.
