We're Not Going Anywhere. 🏠
Ally Corner — we're home. A while back I mentioned we were exploring a platform move. Here's the update: we're staying on Skool and honestly? I'm glad we are. You all are here, the space is good, and it's time we actually treat it like that. We haven't shown up in this community the way we should have and that changes now. You're paying for access to this space and we want it to feel worth it — real conversation, real resources, real community. More coming. We're just getting started. 👏🏾 Expect a great read to drop tomorrow morning — keep an eye out!

Let's Talk about "Clapback Politics"
🔥 New post: "Clapback Politics" is just tone policing with a new name You've probably seen this phrase floating around—especially in conversations about Jasmine Crockett's Texas Senate run. Sounds like legitimate political critique, right? It's not. It's the same old playbook: when Black women lead with strength and directness, suddenly everyone's concerned about "tone" and "civility." In today's post, we unpack: ☆ What "clapback politics" actually means (hint: be quieter) ☆ Why white men doing the exact same thing gets called "leadership" ☆ Who this phrase really harms ☆ What allies need to do instead Read it here Question for the room: Have you heard "clapback politics" used as code? What other phrases do you see used to police how Black women show up? Drop your examples below. 👇

Marginalized Trump Supporters?
I’m spending some time in Florida and trying to stay open and curious when I come across MAGA supporters. I went to a Seafood Festival in New Smyrna Beach yesterday. I challenged myself to spend my money at Black owned booths for food and art. At home, having less Black owned options, I already know those I support are Progressive. I live in a Progressive Blue Spot in Red Pennsylvania. I am having a much harder time in Florida getting a gauge on if the Black business owners are aware of just how harmful MAGA is and has been. In my experience as a therapist, I am aware of the complexities that contribute to an oppressed person’s relationship with the oppressor/abuser, so I can hold a lot more grace in these situations than I can when privileged people support this administration. I decided that it mattered more that I spent my money supporting Black businesses than if I was supporting a Progressive business or not. Thoughts? I’m so interested in hearing multiple perspectives around this.
