Role Play (Off Days)
If you have Jack as a coach, you would’ve seen the video he made about having bad days (or even weeks & months) when it comes to closing. They’re damn near inevitable. Everyone has some kind of slump at some point where they’re simply not serving to the best of their ability. And believe me, if it happens to seasoned pros like them, it’s 110% happening to us too.
In mine & Charlie’s last 3 or 4 role plays, we’ve touched the surface of that concept. We’ve both had at least 1 session where even if we have the perfect train of thought in mind, all that comes out is something that sounds like Crazy Frog’s newest single. It happens.
There’s gonna be loads of times on these practice calls where you blank out and don’t know what to say. IT HAPPENS.
The best thing you can do for yourself is not beat yourself up over the mistakes themselves, but identifying what went wrong (be very honest with yourself) and doing what you can to show you’re learning from those mistakes.
Role plays are like Jiu Jitsu rolling or Muay Thai sparring. You win or you learn. Just show up. And show out.
