It is important because you have to build a link of trust with the client. Using clarity to enter a dialogue with the client and listening to his anwers. Then identifying the problem and establishing the pain to understand what they are missing. Once done you have to give the necessary information for the client to understand why that solution is better than anything he or she has experienced in the past.
