Hey guys, I had a thought today and wrote it down in my notes. This isn’t well written at all, just literally a ‘note to self’ that I thought might be valuable, so I decided to send this out. If you like this kind of post, let me know I can try to do more… (and structure them better, lol) Here’s the note: Theory to test this week: Short form social media caters to the viewer. And the viewer is scrolling to consume. I believe this because I consider myself to be an aggressive knowledge seeker. But when I’m on social media scrolling, I find myself skipping the super educational videos. Even when I save educational videos and come back to them, they don’t have the same impact as I feel they should because I’m looking at it on Instagram… Which leads me to my theory: Hook in > Buildup & Story > Frame the value nugget Instead of “Do this because I said so”… It becomes “I had this crazy realization today, xyz story, that led me to *this*” The *this* being the value. Plus, in general, when there is a story around something, we tend to remember it better. I will be posting my attempts at bringing this theory to life this week across IG, TikTok and YT Shorts (low followings), and will report back with my analytics.
