How to collect emails before your customers buy your book on Amazon
I'm looking for feedback. Can you help me test something?
I'm working on something that I'm calling a Free Book Page.
I made a couple sample pages. Can you try them and let me know what you think?
These are just test sites right now; they don't have Kindle ebooks attached yet.
What is the purpose of these sites? Well, most customers would prefer to buy books directly on Amazon.
But as an author, I want to collect their contact information.
So before sending them to Amazon, I want to offer them a digital item like the ebook, PDF, sample chapter, or bonus chapter in exchange for their email. Then, send them directly to Amazon to buy the book.
Make sense?
If you're already an author, would you be interested in a landing page like these?
Setting these pages up isn't difficult, but it's a lot of steps for a new author.
