10X Mentality: I thought this was BS but Grant Cardone was right, to the dot So Grand Cardone has written a book called "The 10X Rule" and his thesis is basically that you need 10 times more action than you expect to achieve an outcome. It's true, here's my story:
This was around 3 weeks after I started into door to door sales. With that I mean walking up to people and selling them free solar consultations. Should be pretty easy, right? I just need a phone number and its's a fully free thing... but hell nah haha.
But since we are optimists over here we think everything is possible, so I set my goal. Get 3 collected leads for free solar consultations every day. I would know 60 times a day, so: 60 knocks = 3 generated leads == 20 knocks per generated leads
I went ahead and got knocking, in the beginning I started with just 15 a day and worked my way up to 60 a day. We're now 170 knocks in and still 0 generated leads (for a fully free consolation). Until at around the 3 week mark, when I got my first ever door to door generated lead!
After 199 knocks, instead of 20. Yes I really needed around 200 knocks for a lead instead of 20. So Grant Cardone was right, on the dot.
TL;DR: It really is just volume. 10X your inputs and then look again. Ended up doing 6,6x the amount of knocks in a day than when I was starting (100 knocks vs. 15)
(Not in Door to door anymore, tho I though this would be interesting to share for any industry)
