“Some things are better left unsaid” when they do not edify or build up others (Ephesians4:29). It is important to consider the impact of our words on those around us, especially in the context of relationships and community.
Proverbs 17:28 states that even a fool is considered wise when he keeps silent, and discernment is often shown by knowing when to speak and when to refrain (Proverbs10:19). Jesus himself demonstrated the power of silence in the face of False Accusations (Matthew26:63-64) and taught that we will give an account for every idle word spoken (Matthew12:36).
However, there are also times when speaking up is necessary, such as when addressing sin in the church (Matthew 18:15-17) or defending the faith (1 Peter3:15). In these situations, it is important to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and with gentleness and respect (1Peter 3:15). Ultimately, our words should be guided by the Holy Spirit and used to glorify God and build up the body of Christ (Colossians 4:6).
I hope this was edifying for some & if you feel led in the spirit to pray for me… plz do so bc I’m starting to feel I need some to intercede for me & I will always continue to do the same!🙏🏼
I pray that all my brothers & sisters in Christ have a wonderful midweek day as well as the rest of the week & that we all stay in the spirit if conflicts, confusions & other worldly agendas arise! In Jesus’ name I pray! 🫡
