Donors need to understand impact and trust it, before they can be moved to support it.
But it's not always that easy, when you have so many moving parts and so many different Donor "boxes" to fit into.
Authentic Impact Communications, can really go a long way in helping us:
- Reclaim the hidden super-power of non-profit expertise;
- Attract the right calibre of funders - that "Get it!" and "Pay what it takes";
- Make the case for long term core funding and build financial resilience; and
- Restore a healthy balance in power dynamics.
"Trust Based Philanthropy", "Community Based Philanthropy" and "Decolonising Philanthropy" movements gaining momentum give us a foothold in the door, but we can't wait for funders to drive the change. And we can't use an Old Rulebook to create new systems.
So this is a community where you'll find all the resorces I have developed so far to support Non-Profits on this Roadmap to Self-reliance and where together we will normalise a New Playbook.
