Before I moved to Germany, I had no idea how obsessed Germans are with holidays, planning, and something called "Brückentage." These "bridge days" are strategically placed holidays that Germans use to create extended weekends by taking a single vacation day to bridge the gap between a public holiday and a weekend. It's a unique cultural phenomenon that shapes everything from travel plans to family gatherings, and as I learned, it has a significant impact on the hospitality industry too.
Make sure that you monitor performance from Germany on those days. Remember, Germany has 16 federal states (Bundesländer), and it may vary slightly for some of them. Some bank holidays are not observed nationwide.
You may find out more about "Brückentage" in this lesson. Toast to your success!
