Hi guys! I'm back with my analysis of the book "How to be everything". For more information, check out the below posts:
Facing internal cristicism as a multipotentialite
_____________________________
Being a multipotentialite, you will be facing with a lot of criticism, including (and most importantly) that of your inner voice. These include feeling ashamed and guilty for not being a specialist, as you're a generalist in a specialist world. You feel discomfort as you're always a beginner and have imposter syndrome
These are some points to keep in mind when you are feeling down due to your multifaceted interests and multipotentialite personality.
- Shifts in interests are part of your personality
- Letting go of one interest frees you for the next
- Your identity is not tied to what you do
- Being bad at something is the first step at being good at it
- Keep track of small wins
- Keep moving forward
- Focus on being effective, not the best
- Stop comparing yourself to specialists
- Your skills are in being a multipotentialite
- Feeling like a fraud is common when pursuing meaningful ends!!!!
- Focus on your work, not others perspectives
Facing external criticism

Know that what other people think shouldn't influence the way you go about your life. Never let other people's perspectives influence you or put you down. Have a strategy for the inevitable person who belittles your choices and show confidence.
Aaaaaand that concludes this series! I hope you guys took something valuable away from this series. Please comment if there are books you do want me to do in the future. Adios
