While this will almost certainly give heartburn to the "everything must be in the CRM" crowd, I spend a lot of time in email...
Maybe you do too.
While not advisor-specific, it's worked wonderfully and easily for me for the past several years
It's relatively inexpensive (I pay $48/year) and it doesn't require another app, website or login to use.
You simply send/forward an email (via cc or bcc) to XXXXXX@followupthen.com and it will bring it back into your email inbox based on the timing you designated with the "XXXXXX" in your email. I've also included an image showing their cheat sheet on all the ways you can schedule your follow ups.
I use it daily when:
- I get an email from a client and need to set a reminder to take action/follow up... I'll reply to the client and BCC 3days@followupthen.com and in 3 days it will pop back into my inbox as a reminder to get it done and/or confirm with client it's been done
- I need to set a weekly/daily/quarterly/yearly reminder for something pertaining to a specific client
- I need to set a personal reminder (it works across your email addresses - personal and work)
- And dozens of other use cases
I just checked online and I currently have 80+ open/active "follow ups" scheduled
