Online coaching can seem scary...
One of the most common concerns I hear from people thinking about starting an online coaching business is: "I don't know if I'm going to be able to get any clients because other coaches are so good." But here's the thing... you don’t have to be the best at what you do. In fact, you won’t be when you’re just starting out—and that’s perfectly okay. Think back to when you first learned how to type on a computer. Were you fast? Probably not. You had to practice, stumble through mistakes, and improve over time. Or take driving a car. On your first day behind the wheel, were you confidently parallel parking or cruising down the highway? Of course not! You were probably nervous, overthinking every turn, and gripping the steering wheel so tightly your hands hurt. But with practice, those awkward early attempts turned into muscle memory. You got better the more you did it. It’s the same with coaching—or any skill, really. When you start anything new, you’re not an expert. But maybe you already have a skill you’re better at than most people, and you have a strong desire to teach it to others. That’s a GREAT place to start. And here’s the magic: as you teach others, you’ll naturally get better yourself. Look at the coaches you admire, the ones who’ve been in the game for 10 years or more. Where do you think they started? Were their first videos polished? Were their skills top-tier from day one? Absolutely not. 99.9% of the time, they got better by showing up, trying, and learning as they went. That’s how entrepreneurship works. You try, you learn, you get better. So yes, it’s okay to feel scared about starting. But it’s not okay to let that fear stop you from trying. Taking action in the face of fear is called... COURAGE. Find your courage. Trust that the only way to build your dream life is to start where you are, with what you have. Take the first step. Then take the next. The rest will come.
