what is a Homebrew rule you use at your game?
My homebrew rule is an alternate system for inspiration called "fate points"
based on how much my characters roleplay their bonds flaws and ideals, or interact with the world in creative ways.
fate points go to a max of ten and can be used to add to the modifier of any d20 roll.
I love this because it encourages my players to roleplay because they are rewarded more often, and my players love saving up their fate points for an epic moment, (some players will just waste them instantly)
I haven't noticed a change in balance that disrupts the game, I think this is a good rule to implement for dms who are having a hard time getting their players to roleplay.
what homebrew rule do you have that you love?
