Welcome to The Banking Vault !
So what exactly are you joining ?
Well, when we were applying for roles in finance while in Business Schools, we felt like we were missing big brothers to show us the way. When do processes open, what is the difference between Springs/Summers/Off-Cycles, is my CV good enough, how do I practice for online tests, what questions should I expect for my interview ?
We quickly realised, after sifting though dozens of courses and prep services what breaking into the industry actually requires:
- Applying early - you need to be on top of when application portals open, as they are all rolling basis
- A strong enough application file - is your CV top notch, your Cover Letter clear and concise
- Practicing Online Tests - they are short, and the slightest mistake will lead to your downfall
- Partnering Up - those who make it to the end apply in groups
In essence, in Business School our biggest asset was our network. Whenever we would want to compare our CV's before sending applications, asking about the specifics of applying at X firm and obtaining insider information, where & how to master banking basics, timelines for applying, someone in our cohort knew or knew of someone with the adequate experience & relevant information.
That is precisely what we seek to replicate here.
