CV's feedback
Hello everyone, I would be infinitely grateful if you could give feedback on my CV. It would be great to know what I could improve, what I could add or change (in case of format, length, exposition of concepts or grammar, ....) I am applying for positions in investment banking specifically M&A. Thank you all in advance

Wealth management/private banking
Does anyone have any advice for post-grad schemes for wealth management or private banking? How do they differ from normal applications and/or how do the interviews and assessments differ? Thank you!

Hey! For post-grad schemes in wealth management or private banking, the process is generally similar to other applications but tends to have a stronger focus on client relationships and financial planning skills. Some key differences: Client focus: You'll likely be assessed on how well you can build relationships, communicate financial strategies, and handle sensitive client situations. Be ready to talk about past experiences where you've demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Technical knowledge: While you'll still need to know the fundamentals of finance, there's usually a stronger emphasis on investment strategies, portfolio management, and regulatory knowledge specific to wealth management/private banking. Interviews: They tend to be more behavioral-focused. They may ask you about situations where you’ve built long-term relationships or advised people on financial decisions. Also, expect questions on market trends or what approach you'd take for different client profiles. Assessments: You might face case studies or role-playing exercises where you're acting as an advisor and have to recommend an investment strategy or portfolio. Good luck with your applications! Feel free to ask if you need any more tips!

@Tomas Fernandes They really depend of the company you apply for! And yes they differ for basic corporate finance ones.
M&A Interview
Hi, I have an interview for M&A Technology Analyst - how should I prepare for technicals? Will they expect me to have knowledge about technology due diligence too?

Hey Shruti, For an M&A Technology Analyst interview, it's important to focus on both general M&A technicals and technology-specific aspects. You should definitely be prepared to discuss technology due diligence, as it's likely to be a key part of the role. Make sure you understand how to assess a company’s tech stack, cybersecurity risks, software infrastructure, and potential synergies or risks during an acquisition. Also, brush up on your usual M&A concepts like valuation methods (DCF, comparables), deal structuring, and integration challenges on the Skool. A combination of M&A fundamentals and tech-specific knowledge should set you up for success. Good luck with your interview!
