Why should you have your own community?
I know that creating and moderating a group can feel overwhelming - but here's why you NEED to with your business. 1. A CTA (Call to Action). If you don't have your ebook or tripwire done yet, having a free community can be your CTA. 2. If you're a thought leader, you need FOLLOWERS. I'm not talking about follower counts on social media. I'm talking about followers in your TRIBE. Following you on social media is NOT the same as being part of your MOVEMENT. People want to be a part of something. 3. You need a place to get to know your tribe. A place to ask questions and learn more about your audience. 4. People will hang around you more if you're not the only one to hang around. Here's what I mean. If you were the only person in a community that your members like, the moment you do something that they don't agree with, the only connection they have is lost. When your members connect with other members, the connection is STRONGER and you have built something that can withstand the ebbs and flows of business. My model looks like this: Free Facebook community - lots of members - good engagement. PAID Skool community (here) - fewer members, GREAT engagement.
