I use this app to record audio from an app — specifically I save audio from Zoom so that I can use it in Vibe for transcription. I also use it to pre-process/clean up my microphone audio before using in Zoom.

NOTE: You can use Vibe to record (and later transcribe) audio as well. I usually do this on-the-fly if I need just a few minutes of audio recorded/transcribed immediately. Rogue Amoeba also has a software called Loopback that allows you to route audio to a virtual device so you can use it as a source for Vibe. (More on this later…)
