Honestly, some of the best marketing advice and strategy I've ever seen was written by guys from the direct marketing world back in the early 1900's.
"Scientific Advertising" by claude c. hopkins - This explains how to find ads and marketing that works (NOT what marketing to use)
Irresistible Offer by Mark Joyner (for how to come up with a great offer)
$100M Leads by Alex Hormozi (for how to get more leads, signups)
Be weary of anyone who says "You NEED to be on Facebook/LinkedIn/TikTok/Myspace/Insert any platform here" because it all depends on where YOUR customers hang out.
Hey Oren, I have a large network of fellow SaaS marketers and I love seeing their hands-on and down-to-earth approach. Like when they deal with day to day issues that pretty much every SaaS has. I absorb quite a lot of knowledge this way from my LinkedIn feed - the insights they share, the results of the experiments, do's and dont's. I can't say I follow anyone top tier for SaaS marketing knowledge. Probably Jamson Lemkin when it come to high level advice but that's mostly for funded SaaS.
Hi Oren! Dan Martell is a good person to know, he has an academy for saas, also Dharmesh Shah of Hubspot has some great ideas/talks. Personally, I'm a fan of Amit Agarwal...solopreneur google workspace widget creator and real family man that works 10-20 hours a week these days and has plenty of time to drop his kids at school, listens to music loud, and brings in $1142/hr every hour of every day 24/7/365.
