Thoughts on Naming Your Business
Hello Everyone! Sean here! I am going through @Stuart Clifford's "Start a Lawn Business - Masterclass" and I'm on the video where he talks about naming your business. He makes a great point about making sure it's easy to remember and spell. I have really come up with some knucklehead business names in the past that make it hard to use. Here are some examples. For a business I had where I sold products on Amazon the name was Impulse Buys 4 U. I thought I was being cute and creative, but it had a lot of things wrong with it. Every time I told someone what my business was I had to SPELL it out for them... "That is impulse, like 'impulse buying,' buys, the number 4 and the letter U." I had to go out of my way to make sure that they didn't look me up using impulse buys for you. Heck, we even made that EXACT same mistake with our current business, Zero2Income. We have to make sure we are using hashtags for zerotoincome to make sure we capture anyone looking for us that uses that in the search term. You can see how a little more careful planning could have helped with both of the above business names.

Deciding what services to offer
🌱 Starting a lawn care business? It’s tempting to offer all the services under the sun, but here’s why less is more. 🤔 Offering too many services can be overwhelming, especially when starting on a budget. More services mean more equipment—and potentially more headaches. 😫 Before adding services, consider licensing requirements and insurance implications. It’s crucial to only offer what you’re confident in and passionate about. 🙌 Pro Tip: Partner with others for services you don’t enjoy or aren’t equipped for. This way, you stay focused and provide top-notch lawn care. 🏡✨ As your business grows, streamline your services for a more targeted marketing approach. Less really can be more! 🎯 See the full lesson here. Deciding what services to offer. What’s on your ideal service list? Let us know below! 👇
