Myth-Buster Mondays
Fellow introverts... I'm in constant realization of how my limiting beliefs have stopped me from achieving my goals in the past.⛔ I see a lot of other introverts fall victim to the VERY. SAME. THING!🤦‍♂️ Whether it's limiting beliefs they've learned from past traumas or false perspectives that were projected onto them by other people... The truth is, you're only CAPABLE of doing what you BELIEVE is possible! Which is why I would love to introduce "Myth-Buster Mondays" in our community.🙌 Every Monday, I'll be "clearing the smoke" with high-value posts dedicated to debunking the most common myths that people have about introversion and/or the workplace. This is also an intentional effort to make our community high-quality by raising the bar on everyone's values and beliefs.🙌 See you on Monday!😜

80% of your Professional Success Is Due To Communication Skills
Question👇 If you’re technically brilliant let's say 10/10 at your job but your but your ability to communicate your value is a 4/10, do you think people perceive you to be a 10/10 or 4/10? The truth is you are only as good as you can communicate💣 No matter what job you have in life, your success will be determined 5% by your academic credentials, 15% by your professional experiences and 80% by your communication skills. I'll share my personal story later on how improving my communication skills has landed me 2 promotions in my career (one job I wasn't even qualified for) but I really wanted to bring awareness to you guys in this post because I feel like introverts can benefit most from this advice. Which is why I'm offering 🆓 research calls to all our community members.🙌 This is a 15-minute conversation where we talk about your current situation, desired situation and problems you're facing. This will help make this community more valuable for its members and can potentially solve some of the problems you're faced with at work. Here's a link to my calendar where you can claim your free research call: https://calendly.com/thembinkosi-ndlovu42/kkdiscoverycall Comment "BOOKED" when you're done! P.S: I know I've been on a hiatus but the 9-5 has had me on a chokehold for the last couple of weeks, you guys understand😉

It makes total sense why one would think that introverts are bad at communication We’d rather let someone else carry the conversation than to exhaust our social battery🔋 Which is fair, but the sad truth is that, as a result, most introverts actually suck at communication See, extroverts GAIN energy from interactions📈 So, naturally, they have a slight edge over us because of all the reps they get to put in. Meaning, they are basically incentivized to talk as much as possible, making them able to articulate their thoughts far more effectively than the average introvert But, this DOES NOT have to be the case Communication is a learnable skill that if paired with our unique traits (empathy, listening skills, and compassion), I argue that an introvert could easily become a far more effective communicator than an extrovert. Take listening skills for an example…👂 The world is full of people who always want to talk about themselves, and if they ever go quiet, best believe they’re just waiting for another opportunity to blab about what interests them.🗣️ Since you’re a naturally good listener, that sets you apart from the 99% of people When you listen to understand and not to respond, the other person is more likely to be receptive of your message because you had the compassion to hear them out first, do you understand? Over and above this, people tend to listen more attentively when someone who speaks less finally has something to say Which increases your influence So, what’s the reality? Introverts CAN be excellent communicators. We often think deeply and listen attentively, which makes our communication thoughtful, meaningful and more influential.
