Vulnerable post per Cassie’s challenge; Looking for feedback
This morning my eldest missed the bus, which created quite a hassle. His new school is far, and I had to get my younger two to school later. I felt some guilt—though he woke up on time, it was ten minutes later than usual. I’ve been starting my routine later because of the colder mornings, just slipping slightly. This disruption reminded me how even slight changes in my routine can have a compounding effect on my entire day and those around me. It was like a fire alarm, loudly telling me to check myself. Smaller things had happened in recent mornings, more subtle, but next time I need to pay more attention. I’ve let my morning routine slip, and precious hours were lost. This morning was a reminder to keep myself accountable. OG Mandino’s words come to mind: "My actions are ruled by appetite, passion, prejudice, greed, love, fear, environment, habit, and the worst of these tyrants is habit. Therefore, if I must be a slave to habit let me be a slave to good habits. My bad habits must be destroyed and new furrows prepared for good seed." Maintaining high standards and good habits is hard, but I must do it. Not only to keep myself on track but also because it impacts my family and their overall well-being.

Feedback for Matthew!
Hi @Matthew Triplett ! Here is some coaching feedback on your post today -- love that you've been consistent two days in a row! Keep it up!! Strengths: - The quotes you chose show a passion for thoughtfulness and reflection, which align well with your goal of sharing your reflective writing! They provoke deep thought, encouraging your audience to pause and reflect on the role of hope in their own lives. - The image is beautiful! Reinforces the idea of light breaking through darkness, a universal sign of hope. This kind of visual storytelling adds layers to your writing. - Using both a well-known quote and a more personal one adds a nice balance! Authoritative & personal - really like this Suggestions for Improvement: 1. Further Personalization -- I wonder how this post would have done as an expanded personal story, maybe about a time when you needed hope or had really strong faith/hope. This will make the post feel even more authentic and invite others to share their experiences. Example: "These quotes remind me of a time when hope was my anchor through a dark period. Writing became my way of finding the light..." 2. Engage the Writing Community -- Since you're focused on connecting with other writers, you could ask a reflective question at the end to invite discussion and engagement from fellow writers. Example: "How do you incorporate hope into your writing? What role does reflection play in your creative process?" 3. Showcase Writing as a Journey -- You could weave in how reflective writing helps you stay grounded or how it has evolved over time. This ties into the larger conversation within the writing community about the power of introspective work. Hope this helps, can't wait to see more! Cassie

Welcome Matthew!!
Why You Should Bring Your Whole Self to the Table (Even on Your Hardest Days)
Showing up authentically is close to my heart. When you're building your personal brand, it’s easy to get caught up in the "highlight reel." It’s easy to share GTM wins, what you’re doing right in your role — or even recent travels (I’m trying to balance this one). But what about the days when you’re in the middle of a work or personal rollercoaster or juggling 101 things, including your mental health? You might feel like it's impossible to show up for your brand or your goals. For me, adventure and travel help reset my mind, but I also have daily moments when the anxiety kicks in. I’ve found that these vulnerable moments actually help me connect more deeply with others, because many of us are facing the same struggles - often in silence. Here’s how you can turn life’s challenges into part of your story: Share how you push through difficult days, whether it’s a mindfulness routine, an impromptu trip to nature, or simply *pausing*. Not every day has to be groundbreaking. Sometimes, it's about just getting through the day. Reflecting on these times (maybe a day when you didn’t book any meetings, or a day when you feel behind on a marketing campaign) can actually help you build resilience. You never know who needs to hear that they're not alone. When you talk about mental health, you're opening the door for others to show up authentically, too. Here’s the thing; your personal brand is built on how you grow through the journey. So, even on your toughest days, maybe you can give yourself a little more grace - because your story is still evolving, and that’s your super power. 💜 Drop a comment below—what's one challenge you're facing, and how are you working through it? Let’s support each other!!
