Hello, My Name is Eli
I had the pleasure of becoming colleagues with Trevor back in 2015 and we've been in contact ever since. Through the years I have witnessed this man go from a job he hates to working whenever and wherever he wants. He is the epitome of "The 4-hour workweek." I have also been blessed with the ability to work remotely from anywhere as a Cybersecurity Consultant for a security firm based out of Chicago, Illinois since 2020. That being said, it was soul-crushing for me to discover the rate my company charges our clients for MY work and realize I am only receiving 20% of the total rate. Even though I am privileged to continue working remotely post-COVID, I still find myself working 10-12 hours on some days. My dream workday would consist of no more than 4 hours per day. I am currently learning the ins and outs of Azure Cloud and hope to transition to working for myself as a freelancer or creating my own firm within the next 5-10 years.

Newcomer Intro Bill
Heyo! I'm Bill, a full-stack JavaScript dev. I've got 8 years experience and have been thinking for a while about going out on my own to run a business instead of working as an employee for others. I think I need to do some saving and work on some smaller prep steps to get in position to make the jump. I'm definitely looking to learn some things about how to manage a business and prepare, also here for encouragement. Had a good talk w/ Trevor about it and appreciate what he's doing here, so thanks for starting the community. Happy to be here!
