Today's Hip and Shoulder Helpers
Today I worked with two clients relieving painful limitations.
Each received simple movement explorations you can use too!
One learned a pelvis list exercise.
What's that you may ask? It's as simple as lifting your leg to take a step and then putting it back down again without taking that step or moving forward. This move strengthens the muscles or your leg, seat cheek and hip area by transferring all your weight on a single leg held by the muscles along the outer side of that standing leg.
The other client, experiencing neck and shoulder pain, learned how to do a single arm doorframe "hang" while still supporting much of the weight by simply softening the knees and gently exploring counterweight to stretch the tissues and open range of motion.
