I just got off a call with a coaching client and he messaged me later with this:
I love the feeling of clarity where you're no longer wasting energy trying to make a decision.
Getting bogged down wondering if you should do this or that.
This is why I love coaching and also being coached.
Just being able to process out what I'm thinking feeling in order to get clear on the next steps is a game changer.
Clarity is power.
Here's what helps me get back to clarity when I'm overwhelmed or feeling stuck.
Keep it simple.
As entrepreneurs we tend to want to add complexity.
But for the most optimal lifestyle of freedom simplicity is key.
Instead of trying to do multiple things at once just focus on one area of your business. This is where the theory of constraints comes in.
There can only be one bottleneck in your business at any given time.
Focusing on anything else will be a waste of resources. Is it generating more traffic? Nurturing leads better? Improving sales process?
Identify that and put all your energy into it until it’s fixed. Let’s say you realize you just don’t have enough traffic. Not enough eyeballs seeing your stuff.
Choose a plan to fix it.
There’s many paths.
I’ve tried just about all the traffic strategies over the last 14 years of owning businesses.
Having a paid ads + content ecosystem is the best way to generate traffic and grow your audience.
So then you’d craft your plan.
Then focus on executing the plan.
Don’t deviate from the plan when it doesn’t work at first.
That’s normal.
Overcome the challenge and get better.
Other people are making it work and so can you.
Example plan: spend $50/day running IG follower ads to generate traffic.
Post 7 reels a week of relevant content.
Run a retargeting ad with a lead magnet that solves a painful problem for your audience. Schedule calls in the DM’s to sign clients.
The temptation is to think the plan is bad when it doesn’t work so we go and try something else. I’ve done this a few times and it just keeps you spinning your wheels.
You probably just need a few tweaks to make the initial plan work.
This is why it’s helpful to hire a coach. Someone that can audit your stuff, give you feedback, and help you gain clarity on what needs to get done in what order. Hope that helps.
What's your action plan this week?
