a dope LinkedIn Idea...need feedback!
I was on a call with @Donovan Fawcett today bugging him about the frustrations he has with running his SEO business. One of the things that came up was - getting "LinkedIn famous". Personally, I f^&*ing hate all that vanity BS but... If the market is there looking for that, well, be it - we can help each other grow (besides that, getting a little bit famous within your niche is a good thing). So the idea...it's not new. In fact, it's been out there for a while but died down, as its effectiveness has diminished (but it still works for various reasons, including the psychological ones)., What am I talking about? The so-called engagement pods! There is this thing with LinkedIn... If a post gets positive engagement (reactions, comments, shares) within the first 60-90 minutes, the post will attract more people, who, in turn, will attract even more people! If you do that continuously for a month...mamma mia, it will go bonkers - a lot of new followers...WAY FASTER! In essence, this will help you get an unfair advantage and grow your profile SUPER quickly! You see where this "black hat seo" stuff is going, right? The idea is simple. 1. Every time you write a post, you'd drop the link to it inside the group and, maybe, tag whoever you'd want to comment on it. 2. Once that person gets the thing done, they would let you know in the comments. That's it, in essence. Things to point out... - There must be strict rules in place; if you don't give value, you can't get it from others - Leaving "thoughtful comments" is effortless these days; you just copy the post, go to ChatGPT and feed it the "write me a thoughtful casual response for this LinkedIn post" prompt; then copy/paste - voila! Max 2 minutes! - Less of a concern but still...profiles should be from the same industry - SEO; LI is getting tighter on that; if you have folks, say, from Agriculture commenting on Space posts, that won't fly just as well.\ What do you think ladies and gentlemen?
